As licensee, John Lister was allowed to sell beer and wine for consumption on and off the premises Looking down Shudehill towards Withy Grove, the exact spot where the Rovers Return stood is not known. The premises do not appear on any of our maps. However, even numbered premises are now on the right of the photograph
